Not in any rush, but i've a spare swing arm (to powder coat?) and was wondering is it possible/easy to remove/paint the spring on the rear suspension, & if so... what with... spring! crack! thanks.
Springs are not painted but coated with flexible material, somewhat like a shrinking hose. Removal requires correct tools. It will probably be cheaper to get a spring in the desired color for the desired load than to coat the spring.
Ok, but... to take off the coil/spring, i'd have to remove the gas thingy. Would i then need to get someone to re-gas it or something? Surely there must be some kind of flexi-paint product out there. just an idea at the mo'.
I painted my spring with black hammerite with a 1/2" brush, no rpep, just a wipe with a rag - and its still there 2 years later - in fact, its stuck to the spring better then anything else I've ever put it on. Nice.
