The throttle Hot Grip had rotated round and the wires pulled out. Yesterday I did a bot of t'internet surfing and read a post by a sparky on a Scottish forum who'd repaired his so I thought "I'll give it a go, nowt to lose as it doesn't work anyway!"

Cut back the rubber housing until I could see the two connectors. Pared back the sheath to expose fresh wires for soldering. Soldered them back on. To see if things worked I connected them to a model train controller. I like to use these as being variable you're not giving the electrical item a full whack of electrickery first go.

Anyway it warmed up so I put the rubber back over, covered it in duck tape and suck it back on the bike. Will do until I find a cheap throttle grip by itself on ebay or a cheap pair come up.

Job's a good 'un :p
