Very sorry to hear this. Met him at one of the Nationals, he struck me as a modest, thoroughly decent man. Condolences to his family and friends.

Just back from a trip west, a big guy with a big heart. I met him a few times and always enjoyed his company.
Last dram with him was at Dent.
Condolences to friends and family.
Rob will be sadly missed for sure.

The Funeral of Rob Fradley is confirmed for Tuesday 9 Sept at All Saints Church, Daresbury, Cheshire.

It was Robs wish to be escorted by as motorcycle mounted friends as possible.

I'll keep the first post updated.

Rob has been a very active, popular and much liked member of XRV, manking many good friends over the years.

Unfortunately Rob passed away yesterday Saturday 23rd, peacefully.

It was Robs wish to be sent off on his final journey by as many motorcycle mounted friends as possible.

Edit;
The funeral of Rob Fradley is to be held at All Saints Church, Daresbury, Cheshire on Tues 9th Sept at 1.15

(As this falls just after the XRV/BT National, I hope that some of you from further away can extend your stay as the National is only about 1 1/2hrs away (guess).
I am about 35 mins North of Daresbury, just off the M6 & will happily accomodate any of the regulars on XRV/BigTrailie.)

I'll update this post as required.
Deb and i have both put in our leave forms in today. So if they are approved we taken mon/tues off after the National so we can attend. Not sure if we stay on the campsite or not but would like to take you up on your offer for at least one night if possible.

I would have made the effort to ride up for this as I believe decent people deserve their choice to have some effort put in . I have tried to book it off but itd my station audit and have been refused a day off so will unfortunately be unable to attend

Stumbled across your forum and really pleased with the esteem and friendly memories you have of frad.
I've known Rob for nearly 25 years and never was there a dull moment, sadly we lost touch when he moved to Cheshire although we were aware of his awful illness.
Not withstanding his health problems the last 7 or 8 years have been his happiest, entirelydue to Catherine .
We will miss you Rob but never forget, au revoir.

What a wonderful post.
Hope you don't mind but I've forwarded it onto Catherine :)

Will we be seeing you on Tuesday 9th?

Just signed back into the site,

Having a few issues at home at the moment but nothing that can't be put on the back burner.

So sorry to hear about Frad,

First met you at the first Piel Island trip.

Thoughts are with the family, the same as everyone elses.

I'm bikeless at the moment but can borrow one for the day,

Phil, what time on the 9th? is the church the one that is connected to Lewis Carrol?

Cathy and I will be there if we can.

Love,
Alex & Cathy

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the update,
I've already texted by boss to ask for the time off,
Pending his approval I'll be there on a bike.

I'll keep an eye on this thread for the fine details.

Never met Frad but it is obvious from the love and affection on here that he was very much liked and respected

I am away for work 8th through 11th September so coming to the funeral is not an option

Hopefully the sun will be shining for you as you celebrate Frad's life and legacy

Is there a start point and a ride to the church?

Or are we all meeting there?

Bike sorted,
Time off sorted,
I'll be there.
