I've stripped a spare FX650 engine and it's got a worn small end (which seems to be the weak point on these engines).
Research suggests that the rod kit for an XR650L will fit, can anyone confirm?
I've approached Applebee Engineering to press and balance the crank, has anyone used them or any other company to get this work done?
The plan is to fit the rod kit, then with new mains, clutch and gearbox O/P bearing I'll basically have a brand new engine on the shelf :toothy10:

In the end I went to Applebee Engineering, they sourced a big end kit and phosphor bushed the small end - all for under £200.
Highly recommended.
