Poxy seat on the rd07 is the most uncomfortable thing I've ever had the displeasure of sitting on, soooo what are my options? Wait for one to come up secondhand? Spend a fortune on Corbin or top sellerie?
Has anyone used the polish lad on eBay that charges 90 quid? I've already got an airhawk but fancy a proper seat
Tony Archer in Huddersfield did mine on the AT and also the DRZ400. I was able to sit for over 180 miles non stop on the DRZ after he worked his magic. 3 hrs, had to stop for fuel
Seen some of these after market seat alterations ,and they dont seem to go with the look of the bike, Just my opinion. I agree that the seat is awful and I can just about do an hour before feeling that Ive just been fckd by a welsh Cob. Ive just recently got hold of a piece of sheepskin and that gives me another half hour..
+1 on Airhawk.
There are many different models - I use a Custom, medium on my F800GS.
Takes a bit of getting used to sitting on air but once you're through that 'floating period you'll not ride without one again.
Also I don't full inflate - just use enough to go clear of the seat.
Only downside is that the Airhawk adds to seat height so shorter riders may have issues.
I had mine done by the Polish lad, nice quality cover. Took 7 days each way to Poland and back and 3 days with him. That was almost all my time off without my bike!
