Hi all,

I have problems starting my Honda Transalp XL 600 V from 1989 after a winter break for about 4 months. I have rechrged the battery and added new fuel, but it is not sufficient to get it started. What would be the next 2-3 logical steps to get the bike started?

Maybe think about drianing the carb's? I take it the starter's tunring normally now that you've sorted the battery?

As fatjohn says drain the carbs, remove fuel pipe, set tap to prime and check fuel flows, refit pipe put tap back onto prime and try again.
