Hi guys,Trying to get the AT going again after a year not starting. The battery died last year,fitted a new one , no ignition lights or anything . There were no other issues last year , any idea's.Help would be much appreciated.Spanish Steve

Your problem could well be down to corrosion. Either an earth point, solenoid contacts or even a fuse holder.

It is worth checking the simple (and cheap) things first.

30 amp main fuse. check it.

If it's been standing that long and you have not drained the fuel out of the carbs and petrol tank

1. The fuel in the jets will be like jam now and clogg up
2. The fuel in the tank is likely to be stale

In addition to this you have the electrical issues mentioned above

If it's the jets its cheaper to replace than to try and successfully clean them

If it has been standing for that long did you drain the fuel from the carbs and tank?

if not

1 - the fuel in the jets may have turned to jam and not let any fuel through
2 - the petrol will be stale

It will be cheaper to replace the jets than try to successfully clean them

Check the above out in addition to the electrical potential problems above

Thanks guys for your suggestions,cleaned all contacts and found main fuse blown.Replaced and she fired up after a few cranks,now ticking over like a sewing machine.Looking forwards to some rides around Sax.Spanish steve

channge the oil and filter and shot some carb cleaner in it , the ride the @rse of it to blow the dust off:thumbup:
