All of those above make my 1998 one with 17.5k miles on it, for sale at £2295, seem like a bargain . . . so why has no one made me an offer on it?

because it's in scotland. miles away from a lot of potential buyers

and the only transalp 600s that really fetch £2,000+ are very early ones in original colours

Do you think?
Steves bike will be right for sure and better than pretty much any of the others in this thread.
A bit of haggling & a bike courier would have it dropped off. A spot on fully fettled low mileage bike for not silly money.

Distance may be a factor(I personally do like to see the bike I'm buying...) although I am wondering if bike sales have slowed somewhat, now people are back to work & things are getting back to a sense of normality?
I have my cbf500 advertised & not a sniff.

maybe. i think used bikes are very overpriced at the moment.

i think increasing old africa twin prices have dragged up early transalp prices a bit

It certainly looks like they are going that way.
A few nice 650's with low mileage have seemingly been sold fairly quickly even when advertised at 2.5k +

age seems irrelevant for most used bike prices. it's all about condition and miles

Phil - it is a keeper. Why do you think I'm asking the price I am ;). And thanks for bigging up my care & attentative maintenance levels (y)

I only put it up for sale seeing as the CB5X hasn't shifted. Trying to rationalise the vehicle fleet before I cease activity as a wage slave later this year :)
