i have read most of the reports and have not seen much mentioned about his progress or wether he finished ??
i recon he's an inspiration to any young xrv er's if he finished and should be made an honary member of the forum

The 125 was at the finish and it just remained for him to get home.
He had lost some oil due to a split pipe but that was fixed and the bike was running well.

Well running better - according to PDSquire it added about another 10mph putting oil in the engine. I did notice he was having to bump start it in the morning just hope that was the only time he had to.

I can confirm that after a long slow ride through West Wales using the 'A' roads, because he also is still a learner and can't use the motorway, Molezy and the Jin Lin, were safely deposited back in the arms of his mother in Cardiff. My thanks to Bt, Ollie & Matt for their patience with his escort and help. I hope he does a ride report soon, because its quiet a story, on the road at 03.00 on Saturday, riding solo from Cardiff to Hollyhead to meet the ferry. The boy did good.

No one's mentioned that he'd only been riding a week, or that he arrived in Dingle in the dark with a torch for a headlight after all his electrics failed. Well done Gareth, that's quite an achievement. Next time I'm pushing you for a bump start turn your ignition on though eh?;):D

Gareth on the 125 is a complete star pdsquire and i rode with him from irish ferry, this was when i smelt burning oil and when we stopped for fuel
checked his oil being the nosey kit i am and yep he was dry !
was just a split breather pipe so banged some tape round it and carried on.
his attitude is awsom, get on with it with a smile on his face not phased at all, sound lad will ride with him again no prob.
we did leave him with grumpy so a blast could be had (thanks pd)thats another story.

i think he put all of us to shame on some level.... it was hard enough on a proven machine with some pedigree let alone a chinese 125 which i overheard someone say he paid just £50 for..

now thats pioneering spirit for you......top bloke:thumbup:
