Hey
I have at last installed my KN-filter. Before I have i full Arrow exhaust.
I feel I got rid of the flat spot at 3000-3500 rpm.
Today I removed the decibel killer and I think I got more power and noise.
What is Your experience, did You get a lot more power without the decibel killer or not?
Thanks

Had the Arrow with the decibel killer out ever since I bought it from the dealer - never tried it fitted cos I like the sound, especially when rolling off the throttle.
I've got my K&N but its not fitted yet - strangely for the Uk this summer we've got some nice weather just now and fitting the filter is wet days work.
So can't really answer you question but I guess it would be better out as there is less restriction.
Did you but the K&N in with any mods to the air box and have you changed anything else (jets, sprockets)?

I feel the Transalp i more relaxed to drive with the db-killer and more powerful without.
I have no other mods yet.
The 12000 km service is due in oktober, and I will have the shop to check the fuel mixture.

It is very easy to remove the db-killer in the Arrow for xl650.
I had to remove an internal circlip and pull the db-killer out.
No problem when I bought the right set of pliers.
Are You satisfied with the Arrow and KN?

I see the Arrow 650 can is totally different from the Paris Dakar can?
As for difference it seems to make the bike more responsive on the throttle and sounds like a proper v-twin now:thumb:
