Hello
I have decided to buy a KN airfilter.
My Haynes manual states that I need to remove the fairing and the fueltank before I can install the filter.
Do I really have to remove the tank complete of the bike or is there a less timeconsuming way to do this? I do not like to remove the fuelline.
Thanks

you don't have to remove the fairing, just the seat and tank.
Remove seat, undo bolt retaining tank at rear, pull fairing out till it pops out of side of the tank(two pucks per side) slide tank rearwards and get someone to hold it while you remove rubber hoses, or remove rear one and get them to stand and hold tank for 1/2 hour while you remove filter, probably better to remove all and tank will come away. Undo all the screws in airbox and your all set to change filter, then all again in reverse and you're done.
