Simply put the trip master on my 2002 RD07A is dead. It has been worked on a couple of times amd many capacitors changed but its now dead. RIP.

As you can imagine its difficult to calculate my fuel consumption during an adventure ride.

Could you guys please advice on what would be the best replacement?

some bicycle speed computers would do some of the functions of the tripmaster.
However check as some only go up to 100 or 127 kph others appear to go up to 100mph which is probably adequate. Also the spec sheets for many are not very informative on the speed range. I use them on classics/vintage where the 100 kph limit is not a problem. Halfords often have them in sales, I also use them as a waterproof clock without connecting up the sensor on modern bikes.
