The Haynes manual says you must remove the fairing to remove the forks. Having just had a quick gander at the bike it doesn`t look like that should be necessary. It wouldn`t be the first time Haynes has printed bol**cks.
Looking at the parts diagrams it looks like the injection model forks are almost identical. The tubes are a different part number, but the same diameter. The sliders are the same therefore the calipers and mudguard will fit so I reckon it would be a straight swap, not that anybody will actually read this of course:thumbup:
