My tripmaster started playing up (not registering distance) after a few searches on here decided the capacitors were the likely culprit. I couldn't even see the soldered connections let alone do the job so I trusted it to a local electronics repair guy, he replaced all the capacitors but now it is totally dead:(. Took it back but no joy. If anyone has one I would be interested. Might even be interested in a faulty one that I can send away to someone who actually knows what they are doing. Cheers Jon

Thanks I have sent him a message but he is away at the moment. Thought I would ask around in case he has sold it.

Jon I had some intermittent problems with mine - the clocks would all reset to zero every time I switched the bike off and on. It was the connections getting filled with dust and sand from off roading. A regular clean helps. Sorry yours is dead. I do not have a spare to pass on to you but they do come up from time to time

Thanks Paul, all my connections were clean, should have sent it away, there is a guy in Switzerland who specialises in repairing them I believe might still try him depends what the local chap has fried I suppose. How is the course going you must be nearly done? Cheers Jon

I've an rd07a tripmaster from a few years back when I did a rally conversion if you're interested? It was fine when I took it off so I'm guessing it'd still work ok.

Hi Jon

I finished it 24th July !! That was a hard 18 months, got my results at the end of October got a 2.1 (missed a first by 2.75 marks but it would have been too much to increase by that amount to get a first). Graduation is 13/14th Feb so I'll post up some piccies then
