I used to read 'Classic motorcycle mechanics' as it was bikes I grew up with, but have dropped it as it seems to be the same 80's jap 4 again and again. Tried 'Motorcycle sport and leisure' but too much modern stuff with way too many cylinders for a singles fan like me

So whats a favourite read out there??

i would read BIKE and RIDE but not regular, TBM is good too though. I let my brothers buy the mag and then i read them as i've had enough of me buying the same mag as them each month.

Motorcycle Sport and Leisure for me, IMHO seem to have a nice balance of bikes, cruisers to sportsbikes, Adventure bikes and scooters. Lots of nice features on travelling, with less emphasis on speed and wheelies than some of the other publications out there.

I like it so much I now have a subscription. I ocasionally buy Bike and Classic Motorcycle Mechanics as well.

Bike, but not every month, Ride and Two Wheels? (or something)

Depends what's got any interesting articles, sometimes the best bit in Bike is the Ogri cartoon

Occaisionaly MCN, especially if I want to catch up on any racing.

Did subscribe to TWO for 2 years, but like all other rags and mags they start to repeat themselves... MCN is my most frequent read these days, depending on the cover story...
I do like a browse through BSH from time to time..... Its amusing to see what people can do with other peoples left over bits n bobs....

I'll pick up an issue of Classic Bike magazine now and then. The others just seem to repeat the same old material, writing endlessly about how much faster this piece of plastic is than that piece of plastic. :sleepy1: Having said that, CB seems to dust off the same articles every now and again.

Went over to France this past weekend with a friend and his Enfield Bullet. One of the loading crew came over and shook his hand saying how nice it was to see a real bike on the boat for once. Cheeky b*stard. Me and @ were standing right there!!!

Jenna, any Dakar related /rallyraid mags out there not usually seen on the newstand?

Yeah, you know it....... :D

nah, seriously though I have avoided getting FHM recently. It's become soft porn over the past months. A bit too over the top. When it becomes too embarrassing to open it on the train, you know it's not right.

In terms of bike mags, I usually get anything depending on the cover stories/features...

easy solution. Just pull the cover off a socially accepted mag like the Economist or Computer Weekly and stick it on your FHM.

Sadly, I just read the Economist and married a woman who started out on Computer Weekly.
