I was suppose to ride today after a long fix up and repaint.

Got the new blinker assy and the cable was way to short, so I had to cut it, and the old cable open. Now I’m stuck.

Any advice going forward from here? I’m ready to solder, I just need to know what goes in what. Thanks!

If you're adding extra lengths of cable, just make sure you solder the same colour code each end of the extension. (Have I got it right or is there more to it than this?)
Have you got a wiring diagram? If so, it should be hard to go wrong in matching up the cables.

You have the OLD unit. So, dismantle it and note the terminals where the wire are connected to. Draw this down clearly on a sheet of paper.
Then dismantle the NEW unit and do the same.
So, NOW you know which wire goes where.
Make SURE to solder the connections. Good electrical connectivity is critical here. (I am sure you know all this, but I am just repeating for the sake of reinforcement..)
