Hi everyone I am a newby I have a 1984 xr 250 with a 17inch rear wheel, Someone has offered me an 18inch rear wheel from a 1980 xr 200,
Does anyone know if the xr 200 would fit the xr 250 for fitment etc,
Anyone tried this I have been told that some of these parts are interchangeable ??

I too have a 1984 250 xr mine got hit by a grinder an welder but having had a 200xr as well im 99% poz it will swap across the two bikes you might need to have some wheel spacers made but theres a good chance it will go right in. what's rong with the 17inch wheel ? if it's just lack of tire pick then try a XT-644 Army Special Rear front an back will see 4000-5000 miles of use and are very very happy to play off road as well :thumbup::thumbup:

Also would the hub fit from the 17 inch wheel into the 18 inch wheel do you know ??, Funny you put up that XT-644 Army Special rear I was goig to pay that place a visit as I live in Plymouth ,Devon, Many thanks again

The 17 inch hub will build into a 18 inch rim but it will cost wheel building not cheap lot's of the Honda's same age will have wheels that will swap from bike to bike ie XL 250/500 XR 250/500 up two the disk rear swap over year around 1985-1986 keep an eye on ebay one will turn up
