Hi,
Can anyone tell me or even better show me pictures of the differences between magneto rotors on an RD04, RD07 or transalp. The motor I bought a while ago only had one pulse coil and the magneto has eight little bumps near the edge. My motor has two pulse coils now as per the recesses in the generator casing but there are no pick up bumps for the second pulse coil. I have a feeling there should be two raised bumps on the magneto, one per pulse coil. I would really appreciate someone confirming or helping in any way.

Older models had two pickups, later versions had one, I understood that later engines retained the unused cast mounts but they weren't machined/tapped.

A peek at the Haynes shows that both the XRV750 and Transalp 600 went to one pickup from 'T' models onwards.

Edit sorry, that doesn't help with your question re the signal rotor!

Thanks for your reply, I think the rotor is from a newer model as well but I have one on the way from Germany with two pick up bumps from an RD04 so I think it may run now.
