starter solonoid and wiring loom for my rd04

Has anyone got or know where I can get a starter solonoid and wiring loom or connecters for my rd04 ? My local honda dealer says it should be a square solonoid on my bike but it is round, and their listing says it is a l or n or something like that, i dont know what that means, has it got the wrong one on? can anyone help please.

Well, according to the info on the CMSNL website you have the correct round starter solenoid. This is for a 1990 RD04.

Part No: 35851-MF5-751 - bit pricey at over £83 inc vat from David Silver's.

As with most things Honda, this part number will crop up on many and various of their machines - some of them not even motorbikes. (As a for instance, this same part is listed as a spare for some Honda petrol mowers.) Do a fleabay search, it'll probably be worth your while.

Mine is a 1990 RD04 and has a round starter solenoid, just been replaced from wemoto at £36, I just used female space connectors rather than the the red melted mess which used to be the connector block but I'm sure you could get something from maplins that would do it.
